For the production of a nice international BLENDER feature film, b-water animation is looking for a Set modeling supervisor.
• European work permit mandatory
Requirements:
- 4+ years of modeling experience for film/animation or television
- 2+ years as a Senior, Lead, or Supervising Modeller
- High proficiency in Maya/Blender is a must
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of the modeling team
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of production
- An interest in pipelines, processes, tools, and techniques, with a high understanding of industry standards, conventions, formats, and practices
- Good artistic skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the artists and production team
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring, training, and managing the modeling team in both technical and creative capacities
- Manage the modeling team, assign workload, set and maintain standards of all work completed
- Provide detailed direction to the modeling team and contribute to their growth and development by understanding their needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses
- Collaborate with the pipeline team, designers, rigging, and surfacing artists to achieve both creative and technical goals within scheduled time frames
- Drive the team reviews and offer creative/technical feedback on reviewed assets
- Recruit, manage, mentor all artists in the modeling department and collaborate with Artist Management and Recruitment as required
- Supervise, define, implement, and maintain the techniques, tools, and pipeline required to achieve the successful execution of the Modelling output for the film
- Collaborate with the CG and department supervisors to determine best-case approaches for each asset in the project
- Partner with Production Management to implement a schedule that ensures the department delivers on time, to a high level of quality
- Communicate the overall brief and goals of a project to each member of the team, driving the delivery of creative goals on time and to the highest standard
